A fine and increasingly rare Tralee Bay Undulate Ray

Tralee Bay Sea Angling Club has its headquarters at Fenit harbour - our clubhouse overlooks  Fenit Marina. We are a community based angling club with a busy programme of competitive events throughout the year. We stage open and closed boat and shore competitions at venues from the Shannon to Valentia - including of course Tralee Bay.

Conservation is central to the ethos of the club and all of our competitions - both shore and boat - are fished employing a strict catch and release policy. We pride ourselves on being one of the first clubs in Ireland to operate such a policy and do everything possible to ensure the conservation and welfare of the fish which bring us so much angling pleasure.

In addition to competitive angling our members regularly team up to travel further afield to fish. During the summer months - and with safety very much in mind - we arrange 'flotilla' events where we take our own boats to Kerry Head, Brandon Bay and beyond. The club also has a lively social calendar which gives us an additional opportunity to meet and to exchange our fishing stories.

We have an active junior section of the club and a policy of supporting novice anglers of all ages. To this end we run angling skills workshops and organise our competitions in such a way as to enable young and novice anglers to be supported and encouraged by experienced anglers within the club. We very much welcome new members to the club - both experienced anglers and newcomers to the sport will always receive a warm welcome at Tralee Bay Sea Angling Club.

We are always happy to hear from visiting anglers and are able to advise on accommodation, fishing charters tides, likely 'hotspots' and bait.  We have a number of regular visitors from elsewhere in Europe and beyond - many of whom participate in our club activities during their stay in the area.

None of the above activities would be possible without the fantastic support we receive from our many generous sponsors.
